On May 31, the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS) of Tsinghua University received Sevim Da?delen, Member of the Left Party in the German Bundestag. Ms. Da?delen had a discussion about the development of the international situation, the future of Euro-American relations, and security in the Asia-Pacific region together with Dai Yongying, Level I Counsel of the International Exchange Office of the National People’s Congress Foreign Affairs Committee, Yang Yi, Director of the European Department, the International Exchange Office of the National People’s Congress Foreign Affairs Committee, Da Wei, Director of CISS, Xiao Qian, Deputy Director of CISS, Zhou Bo, Senior Fellow of CISS and Sun Chenghao, Fellow of CISS.

Xiao Qian, Deputy Director of CISS, introduced the basic situation of CISS. Ms. Da?delen expressed her appreciation for CISS’s efforts to promote academic exchanges between China and other countries, and expected to learn more about the views of Chinese experts on the international situation. During the seminar, Ms. Da?delen expressed her concerns about how China views the Euro-American relations and the security outlook of the Asia-Pacific region, and Dawei, Director of CISS, Zhou Bo, Senior Fellow of CISS and Sun Chenghao, Fellow of CISS, responded to the questions. Ms. Da?delen expressed optimistic expectations for the development of China-Germany relations in the current international background and her hope to maintain the communication and cooperation with CISS.
